On August 4, 2019, at 9:36 pm, Franklin Police responded to 1698 Dorchester Street on a report of shots fired. pon arrival officers were pointed to the N section of Dorchester Square apartments, where they found a person suffering from a gunshot wound.
Franklin Fire & Rescue transported the victim to Southampton Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Jack Sykes III, 23 from Franklin.
An investigation is ongoing at this time, there are no suspects at this time.
